What's included

Russian pedicure vs. a regular pedicure

A regular salon pedicure usually starts with a foot soak, then the cuticles are pushed back and trimmed with nippers. A Russian pedicure skips the soak. The nail tech uses small e-file bits to lift and remove dead skin around each nail, which gives a cleaner line along the cuticle and lets polish sit closer to it.

Because the nails stay dry, gel polish tends to adhere well and the pedicure keeps looking neat as it grows out. It's the same approach as our Russian manicures, applied to your feet.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Russian pedicure?

A Russian pedicure is a dry pedicure. Instead of soaking your feet in a basin, the nail tech uses an electric file (e-file) to clean up the cuticles, shape the nails and smooth rough skin on the heels. The result is a very clean finish around each toenail.

Is there a foot soak?

No. The work is done on dry skin, which lets the nail tech see exactly what they are removing and keeps the nail plate dry so polish adheres well.

Does it include the heels?

Yes. Heel and callus smoothing is part of the pedicure, along with cuticle work and shaping.

Can I get gel polish on my toes?

Yes. You can choose a pedicure with gel polish, with regular polish, or with no polish at all. Options and prices vary by artist, so check each artist's booking page.

How long does a Russian pedicure take?

Plan for about an hour and a half. A pedicure without polish is shorter.

Is a Russian pedicure safe?

Yes, when it's done by a trained nail tech using the right e-file bits and speed. Like a Russian manicure, it is careful, detailed work and shouldn't be rushed.
